Hate preacher Anjem Choudary 'could lose benefits in Woolwich clamp down'
PREACHERS of hate like Anjem Choudary could soon lose their benefits in clamp down on extremism in the wake of Drummer Lee Rigby's murder, according to reports.
Those wishing to preach offensive and anti-English rhetoric could have their taxpayer-funded lifestyle stripped under a ground-breaking new scheme, reports have said.
Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith is apparently plotting to stop extremists like Choudary – who claims £26,000 a year – being able to claim benefits in Britain.
IDS reportedly met Home Secretary Theresa May yesterday to discuss plans.
“Iain and Theresa have been bothered about the likes of Choudary spewing his bile while taking whatever he wants from the state for some while," a source told The Sun.
